The first art exchange of 2022 was a resounding success. I’ve affixed postage on 202 envelopes that go out on Monday. Now I have the pleasure of sharing some of the amazing art that I exchanged.
I couldn’t take 200 photos of all the submissions unfortunately, but I have about 20 sets to share with you. Get ready to scroll!

If you are wondering what was the inspiration for these, I described our plan for this exchange in an earlier post.
Of course I needed to get in on the action, so I created some cards for exchanging. Here are mine.

This was such a great exchange of beautiful art! Thank you, everyone, who participated. I hope you enjoy the cards you’ve received in return 🙂
They are all a work of art! Loved seeing them all.
I totally agree with you, Carol ❤️
These are great. Enjoyed seeing everyone’s creations.
WoW Gorgeousness! Each and everyone of these!
I love the details ❤️ Each one is so unique. Together in a set of eight, they’re really inspiring 😍
Thank you so much for hosting this exchange, Margarete. It was my first to participate in, but surely not my last! Honored to have my cards pictured.
You do amazing work, Kathy! Thanks so much for participating ❤️
Thanks for posting these, Margarete! Not everyone posts on the colllective, so we don’t get to see all the different submissions, so it’s so great to see the lovely art they do. I’m sure the swaps are tons of work for you. We obviously enjoy them A LOT! Thanks for doing this for your followers!
Thanks, Mary❣️ And thanks for participating. I loved your cards 😍. I wish I could have taken more photos, but these were all I could manage. Still, better than nothing.
I love looking at these beautiful pieces. I still haven’t participated in an exchange (but want to)….I always wonder about the various types of glue and how they hold up! Do you ever receive things where the adhesions fail?
I hope you will jump in at some point, Tracy. It can be a little scary, but you’ll be glad you did. Yes, sometimes glue does fail, but not gluing paper on paper. Usually I see glue and something else, like a piece of plastic film, or glue on a portion of a playing card. It just won’t stick. Gluing paper to paper is your safest bet and almost always works with whatever cheap gluestick you can get.
For cards remaining ‘flat’ with the least thickness it looks like 24# paper and one other (stamp, magazine cutout) item on it suffices?? Seeing these helps get a perspective. All are sensational!!
I’m not sure about #24 paper. These Rolodex cards were around #18 I would say (I only know because I’m around printers a lot). Still, just a few layers on top.
Love this. They are all so beautiful so inspring. I had started a rolodex project a few months ago. This really helps to go back to my project. Thx so much for sharing.

Thanks, Lotte! I do hope you stick with them and keep creating. They’re so fun to accumulate.
Thank you so much for sharing these wonderful works of art. They are all so inspirational.
You’re welcome, Pamela. I’m glad you enjoyed seeing them. I hope you’ll participate the next time!
These are beautiful! Wish I had been in on this exchange. A few years back, I challenged myself to make a rolodex card every time I worked in my studio. I had to use what ever was on my desk from the project I was working on at the time. It’s fun to look back on my rolodex and have a small reminder of past projects. To clarify, I wasn’t making mini reproductions, rather just using up scraps from those projects.
What a great idea, Roz! I’m glad you stuck with it because I’m sure you’ve got a wonderful set of cards now 🙂
