This past Friday I mailed out 151 envelopes to 12 different countries, all filled with amazing swapped mini-cards. The return envelopes alone were so beautiful together!
If you aren’t familiar with what this project was, many of us began working on these cards way back in April. With so many of us sheltering in place and thinking about the pandemic, I had the idea that this second quarter exchange would be with 3″ x 3″ mini-cards that had been created using a masterboard made from 12″ x 12″ paper. Half the masterboard cards you would keep for yourself (8 cards of 3″ x 3″), and the other half of the masterboard, another 8, were mailed in to me to be swapped. On the back was a short message of a couple of sentences, saying what you’d noticed/experienced/learned from the pandemic.

All the cards that I went through and swapped were amazing! The collaging was so well done and cohesive. The messages on the back were often so thoughtful and honest.
With so many participants, I wasn’t able to take photos of all the cards, but I did take several photos of random sets that came across my desk. Here they are:

Thank you to everyone who participated, for your hard work, your thoughtfulness, and your positive vibes during this scary time. I hope that in doing this activity, it unites all of us in existing during this experience, and allows us to share some of the positive aspects of this difficult time.
They are all so beautifully created. What a job you must’ve had swapping these out Margarete. Thank you so much for hosting such a great swap and for the splendid way you maintain this Group. I, for one, can’t wait to receive my swaps. 🤗❤

Hi Margaret, I still have not received mine yet. Can you check. Sandy Miller. Greenacre, FL 33467
I mailed them immediately when you posted. Thanks
Hi Sandy, Still haven’t received it? I mailed everything out for sure, so I don’t know where it could have gone to. Send me an update soon. If you don’t get them, I’ll make an announcemnt to the collective group and see if we can get some people to mail you some. I have some I can mail you 🙂
Thanks Margaret, I sent an extra in there for you to have for yourself, even sent an extra stamp in case someone forgot there postage 😌. It is okay I just enjoy the group. 😁.
I’ve sent you an email. Let’s see if we can fix this!
Hi Margarete
I’ve been moving so have only just seen this post.
I had a bit of a mental block to start with but once I got going I really enjoyed making my cards and the ones I received back are just beautiful!
I’m still trying to work out how I can somehow display them.
Thanks for hosting a great swap!
Thank you, Deborah, for your comments. I’m so glad you enjoyed this last swap. I, too, haven’t figured out a good way to display them. I’ll have to think about it some more 🙂
These are so very beautiful and I just loved participating in this from start to finish. Thank you M.
It was an awesome project! I’m glad you were a part of it, Sonia ❤️
