Practice with simple collages

Recently, someone shared with me that she was feeling stuck on starting a collage. She said she would “go blank” and was indecisive when trying to assemble a collage.

I started a small gluebook with the idea of keeping my collages very simple. I started with some rubber stamping and then kept each page to 3 paper elements.

Squares and rectangles

The black pieces really stand out in the collages below. The vibrant postage stamp images help to take away some of the focus on the stark black.

I made this video to talk about getting stuck and one approach I have for getting started on a new page.

I down loaded the first 30 list of prompts while watching this video and noticed that the two lists are different.

Katrina, I did the same and realized the first 30 prompts are for 2020 not 2021.
      Hope this helps.
